At Temple Baptist Church, we value children and have many activities and classes designed with them in mind. We're sure you'll find one, if not several, places your child will fit.

Nursery

Our friendly nursery workers are ready to care for your children at each regular church service (Sunday a.m./ p.m. and Wednesday p.m.). Nursery care is for children that are newborn–2 years old. Infants and toddlers are in separate rooms so each group can enjoy age-appropriate toys and activities. Toys are disinfected and bedding and other items laundered after each use. You can be sure your child is safe and enjoying himself while you attend the service. Children with contagious illnesses (fever, rash, diarrhea, etc.) should not be brought to the nursery.

Children's Church

This ministry is provided during the sermon portion of our Sunday morning worship service (approx. 10:55–11:30 a.m.) to allow parents to focus on the message and children to learn in an environment designed just for them. The children enjoy a Bible lesson, singing and other fun things like snacks or crafts. We have two classes for children's church: 3-year-olds–Kindergarten and 1st–3rd grades.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a very important part of the ministry at Temple. Each Sunday from 9:30–10:15 a.m., your child can learn Bible stories, memorize Scripture, sing songs and benefit from the various other elements their teacher includes in that day’s lesson time.
Classes are available for:
Nursery (Newborns–1 year olds)
2's & 3's (2 and 3-year-olds)
Pre-Primary (four-year-olds–pre-kindergarten)
Primary (1st–3rd grades)
Junior Girls (4th–6th grade girls)
Junior Boys (4th–6th grade boys)

AWANA

The AWANA program is for children 4 years old through 6th grade. AWANA is a Bible-centered children's ministry. Each evening at AWANA, the kids enjoy games, singing, stories and much more. There are also special events throughout the year for the kids to look forward to.

Our AWANA program is each Wednesday during the school year from 6:30–8:00 p.m. We'd love to have your child attend. Parents are always welcome to visit and see what's happening.

Temple Tots Preschool

For over 30 years, Linda Calfee has been mentoring young children through the Temple Tots preschool ministry. Classes are for children ages 3–5 and are held Tuesday and Thursday (for younger and first-year students) and Monday, Wednesday and Friday (for older and second-year students) from 9:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Children are instructed in Scripture memory, group activities and games, following instructions, respecting others and recognizing the sounds and letters of the alphabet. They enjoy sharing special items from home each class time, reading stories, learning colors, celebrating holidays and a host of other exciting activities. Tuition is very affordable, and your child will have an excellent start to his or her academic career through this program.

Your child will love this special week each summer.
