Temple Baptist Church provides many opportunities for adults to fellowship, serve and grow. Whether it's Sunday morning Bible study, a class activity, sharing in a 5th Sunday potluck or teaching an AWANA lesson, you'll find the ministries and classes that fit your needs and utilize your talents.

Spiritual Growth Opportunities

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Studies

Each Sunday, we offer a variety of age-based adult Bible studies for people of all ages. From 9:30–10:15 a.m., you will enjoy a time of fellowship, prayer and interactive study of the Word of God. Listed below is a quick overview of each of our current adult classes:

College/Career (ages 18–30)
Young Adults (ages 25–45)
Home Builders (ages 35–55)
Foundation Builders (ages 45–70)
Temple Builders (ages 65 and up!)
Ladies Class (single ladies of all ages)

Ladies Bible Study

Each Friday morning, our ladies meet in the chapel at Gramercy Hill (located at 68th and “A” Streets) for a time of Bible study. Led by Betty Pulver, this study meets from 10–11 a.m. and includes ladies of all ages from TBC and others from our community. This group also enjoys quarterly teas and fellowship.

Ladies Fellowship

On the third Tuesday of each month, our ladies meet for a time of fellowship and Bible study hosted by the wives of our pastors. From 7–8:30 p.m., the ladies meet in our lower fellowship hall for singing, prayer, Bible study and refreshments. Special projects and crafts often conclude the time together.

Camping Opportunities

Multiple camping opportunities are available for our adults at Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp in Genoa, Nebraska. Each July, a week-long family camp is available for you and your family to enjoy. In September, separate men’s and ladies’ weekend retreats are also provided and a young adults weekend retreat (ages 19–35) is available in October. Each of these camping opportunities includes numerous chapel sessions, fantastic food, fun activities and great opportunities for fellowship. Fellowship/Activity Opportunities

Class Activities

Each quarter, our Sunday morning adult Bible study classes host activities for those who currently attend their study times and others from our church family in their specific age group. These activities provide great times of relaxed fellowship where we can spend quality time together.

Church Activities

Throughout the year, we enjoy a variety of activities as a church family as well. Valentine’s dinners, Christmas Banquets, Sunday School picnics, Family Fun Nights and numerous other activities focus our attention on Christ and help us grow closer together as a church family.

5th Sunday Potlucks

In months with five Sundays, we follow a different schedule on the fifth Sunday. After the morning service, we move to our main fellowship hall for a terrific meal together. Each family brings a main dish, side dish and dessert to share and we enjoy a tremendous feast. Following the meal, we head back to the auditorium for an afternoon praise and testimony service (in place of our evening service). Reflecting on God’s goodness to us is the theme of our time together.

Outreach Opportunities

Revival Meetings

Each year, we schedule a week of special meetings in which are challenged in the areas of evangelism and personal revival. Beginning on Sunday and continuing through Wednesday or Friday, evangelists and special speakers challenge us to grow in our walk with the Lord. Here are the dates of our upcoming revival meetings:

Visitation Ministry

On the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month, a group of adults visits in the homes of those who have recently visited our services or are new to our community. Our goal is to introduce ourselves, share the Word and answer any questions they might have about the Bible or our ministry at Temple Baptist Church. We also desire to reach the neighborhood around our church.
