"Speaking the truth in love" is our theme at Temple Baptist Church. Preaching the truth is the central focus of our Sunday services. At each service, Pastor Meals challenges us with a message from the Word of God. Paul's charge to Timothy in I Timothy 4:1-2 to "Preach the Word" is an exhortation that we take seriously in our services here. Prior to the preaching, we enjoy an uplifting time of congregational singing, special music and prayer. Our conservative and traditional approach to ministry is reflected in each of our Sunday services. Preaching to the heart...teaching the mind...reaching the soul! That's what you'll find at Temple Baptist Church.

Adult Bible Study & Prayer Meeting
Adult Bible Study & Prayer
On Wednesdays, prayer time is the focus of our adult Bible study and prayer meeting. The evening begins with singing and a Bible study led by Pastor Meals, but the primary emphasis of the evening is the time spent together in prayer. In Acts 2, we see that corporate prayer was a vital part of the ministry of the early church. James 5 clearly presents the need for us to pray both for and with one another in the local church. In a day in which many churches have set aside their regular prayer services, we believe that prayer is the key to effective ministry within the body of Christ.
